It is cavernous in terms of gear storage and ultimate capacity, it is also a fast stable boat both loaded and unloaded.The Kodiak features a trihedral hull & convex waterlines similar to racing kayaks. Its fish-form puts the wide point at the knees instead of the hips to make the boat controllable and comfortable in following seas.

The Kodiak's profile is nearly unaffected in most wind conditions. The slender width in the stern chine ensures superior water release.
