The 17 footer is arguably the most versatile of all the Grumman Canoes. From individual paddlers to extensive hire fleets, the 17 footer can satisfy them all.

Some use the 17 footer with just the 2 seats fitted as standard.

Some fit a third seat either in the center, or aft of center (just in front of the aft thwart)

Some of our fleet customers have a center seat and a aft-center seat fitted!

With 2, 3 or 4 seats none of these options look out of place!

Built of the Best

Grumman aluminum is light in weight and is “aircraft grade.”

They also have water tight compartments in the bow and stern so that the canoe can remain afloat even when swamped.

Formed .062" aluminum thwarts are secured with marine grade stainless steel bolts. Precision riveting ties gunnels, skin, and thwarts together for superior strength.

And all components installed by Grumman are warranted against any defects in workmanship for five years from the date of purchase.
